Project Gallery: VIA Corporativo

A central light and air chamber distributes fresh air into this commercial and office building, and contributes to its LEED Gold certification: User-generated architecture from Guillot Arquitectos.

With nine floors of commercial and office space, VIA Corporativo stands as a beacon of sustainability in the Tijuana region. The goal was to build a contemporary, innovative, healthy, and sustainable building that could break away from common forms in the area. The building is composed of a double skin consisting of metallic panels that reflect UV rays and filter natural light. At the same time, the skin contains an air and light chamber that divides the building in the center. This element is crucial, as air enters the building, and is redistributed into the nine floors, thus saving the cost of air conditioning and energy. VIA Corporativo has received LEED Gold certification.
