The Frederic C. Hamilton Building, an extension of the Denver Art Museum, was completed in 2006 by a team of Studio Daniel Libeskind and Davis Partnership Architects.

While in Denver for the 2013 AIA Convention, ARCHITECT Magazine stopped in at the Denver Art Museum to take a behind-the-scenes tour with Brit Probst, AIA, of Davis Partnership Architects, which collaborated with Studio Daniel Libeskind on the Frederic C. Hamilton Building, the 2006 extension to the original 1971 Gio Ponti-designed museum.

Probst sat down with ARCHITECT to discuss the inspiration for the museum, its structural system, and the challenges of displaying artwork in the complicated angles of the gallery spaces within the Hamilton Building.

Studio Daniel Libeskind and Spirit of Space have collaborated to produce their own video of the Jewish Museum in Berlin. Their short film can be seen on Vimeo.
