On New York City’s Upper West Side, real estate organization GID Development Group is collaborating with top architectural practices Richard Meier & Partners, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, and Rafael Viñoly Architects to design Waterline Square.

The 5-acre mega-development, situated along Riverside Boulevard from 59th to 61st streets, will feature three residential towers, an integrated outdoor park, and tons of luxurious amenity offerings.

One of the property’s most unique details will be an indoor, multilevel half-pipe skate park, the first of its kind in any NYC-based residential project, according to the firm. The park will be located within the Waterline Club, a sprawling amenity space designed by the Rockwell Group.

The park itself was designed by West Coast–based skate park design firm SITE Design Group and includes a half pipe that spans nearly 42 feet long and 4 feet high. Plus, for professionals looking to catch extra air, a mini ramp is located directly next to the half pipe. Skateboards and helmets will be available, and the park will be open to residents for year-round use.

Besides the half-pipe and ramps, the skate park will include a seating area for those who prefer to watch than participate; a sound system with a DJ deck; and a large-screen TV with videogame supplies.
