You remember Mega-Man? There was nothing better than Mega-Man. Gutsman? Bombman? Nothing could beat those bad guys on your Nintendo. Except then—oh man—out comes Mega-Man 2. Talk about saving something for the sequel. Quickman. Crashman. Woodman. Who can forget Woodman!

Back in September, Italian architect Federico Babina introduced a series of 8-bit architect portraits. Like so many rogues from a classic cartridge, all the greats made an appearance: Mies, Wright, and Le Corb, but also Kazuyo Sejima and Louis Kahn and Toyo Ito. It didn’t even occur to me to think there was anyone missing.

Now Babina has released round two in his retro series, and I haven’t been so excited since the Power Glove. I’m itching for the next set of mini-bosses already.
