The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) announced a new exhibition, “Insecurities: Tracing Displacement and Shelter,” that will open at the New York museum this October. Associate curator Sean Anderson and curatorial assistant Arièle Dionne-Krosnick, both of the museum’s architecture and design department, are behind the exhibition, which aims to “[raise] questions regarding how the design and representation of shelter as a source of security and stability ultimately reflects how refugees are living in permanent upheaval today.”

“Insecurities” will be located on the museum’s second-floor Dunn Gallery, and will feature work by Estudio Teddy Cruz, photographer Henk Wildschut, and artist Tiffany Chung as well as the IKEA Foundation-UNHCR-Better Shelter, according to a MoMA press release. MoMA communications manager Paul Jackson said in an email that additional information about the works to be included in the exhibition will be released this summer.
