Architects have long embraced diagrams as pictorial representations of possible program and predicted flows of people. But when it comes to display of actual data, the infographic has been explored less as a medium—until now, that is. Archi-Graphic: An Infographic Look at Architecture, a forthcoming title from Laurence King Publishing, takes an informed look at quirks within the profession in 150 illustrations, backed by data collected by author Frank Jacobus and his students at the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture. On the serious side, Jacobus illustrates gender disparity within the field (Ladies and Gents) as well as the professional trajectories of some of the most famous architects from schooling to practice to teaching (Career Track). On the lighter side, Jacobus maps architectural dalliances London tube style (The Architecture of Affairs) and makes a game out of identifying starchitects based on their signature characteristics (The Distinguishing Features Game). $19.95, Laurence King Publishing, October 2015
