To mark the centennial of Daniel Burnham’s Plan of Chicago, Ben van Berkel of UN Studio and Zaha Hadid have designed temporary pavilions in the city’s Millennium Park. The boldly sculptural pavilions echo the make-no-little-plans ambition of their namesake: Both architects took inspiration from the diagonal boulevards that Burnham introduced into Chicago’s street grid.
