Photographer Lee Friedlander’s America by Car is an artist’s version of typical road-trip mementos: images from the highway. Instead of sticking the camera out from his rental car to capture a view, however, Friedlander uses the windshield, door windows, and rear-view mirrors to frame roadside Americana and urban environments, including Las Vegas.
