Winner of a 2013 AIA Honor Award, BNIM relocated the Kansas City Ballet into the 52,000-square-foot former Power House coal-burning plant at Kansas City’s Union Station. The building, which was completed in 1914 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2004, sat abandoned from the 1970s until 2006.
