The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts boasts superior acoustics despite its complex geometry, with momentous spaces of exquisite design, detailing, and construction. Designed by Moshe Safdie and Associates, in collaboration with renowned acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota and BNIM as joint architect of record, this facility was designed to produce near-perfect acoustics, promising an exceptional experience for performers and audiences alike. Recently completed, the center provides two world-class performance halls for the resident organizations of the Kansas City Ballet, the Lyric Opera, and the Kansas City Symphony, and it contains a 1,800-seat proscenium theater and a 1,600-seat concert hall. For more details and images of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, visit ARCHITECT‘s Project Gallery.
