The New York City Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNYC) has announced the Call for Entries for the 2019 Lumen Awards. The deadline is Jan. 27, 2019.

In 2019, the program continues to celebrate its 50th Anniversary year. The awards are the “signature program of the IESNYC [that] celebrates excellence in lighting design and honors outstanding projects, lighting designers, their design teams, and project owners.” Project eligibility is for designers based in New York or designers submitting a project located in New York City. Entries must be submitted through the program’s online portal at https://lumenawards.secure-platform.com/a.

The 2019 Lumen Award winners will be announced at the IESNYC’s annual Lumen Awards Gala to be held on June 13, 2019 at Chelsea Piers in New York City.

The Lumen Awards are a stand-alone awards program of the IESNYC and “are not associated with the IES Illumination Awards.” Entries for the IES Illumination Awards, need to be submitted directly to that program. Information is available on the IES website at ies.org/ia
