New York–based Robert A.M. Stern Architects’ third annual travel fellowship opened for applicants this week. The fellowship “seeks to promote investigations of the perpetuation of tradition through invention,” according to a press release.
The $10,000 prize will be awarded to an individual who has demonstrated insight, interest, and vision in the profession and its future, as well as an ability to lead hefty research in the architecture realm. Open to students in their penultimate year of pursuing a M.Arch., the applications will go through each school’s deans, and be based on portfolio and fellowship proposals.
Only students attending certain schools are eligible for the 2015 fellowship. Those schools are Columbia University; Cornell University; Harvard University; Massachusetts Institute of Technology; McGill University; Pratt Institute; Princeton University; Rice University; Syracuse University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of Miami; University of Michigan, University of Minnesota; University of Notre Dame; University of Pennsylvania; University of Texas at Austin; University of Virginia; and Yale University.
The deadline for the proposal submissions is April 10.
