A program that dates back to 1883, the Rotch Travelling Scholarship funds travel in support of architectural study, and past winners include notable 20th-century architects such as Wallace Kirkman Harrison, Louis Skidmore, and Edward Durell Stone. Last month at a ceremony in Boston, the program announced the latest winner, Jennifer Ly, a designer at Foster + Partners. Her $38,500 scholarship is designed to contribute to a minimum of six months of travel. Ly holds an M.Arch. from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
