Yesterday, AIA|LA announced the winners of the 2019 Architectural Photography Awards, a program that aims to honor photographs that succeed in “communicat[ing] a designer’s work,” according to a press release. Out of 452 total submissions—double the number received in the second iteration of the program last year, according to a press release—AIA|LA recognized 18 photographs for honor awards, merit awards, and citations.

The jury for the 2019 awards comprised Micheal B. Lehrer, FAIA, president of Los Angeles firm Lehrer Architects; Laure Joliet, a Los Angeles-based architectural photographer; and Matthew Rolston, a Los Angeles-based artist working in film and photography.
