The Washington, D.C. chapter of the AIA (AIA|DC) will present 30 awards celebrating the year’s outstanding achievements in architectural design at its annual Chapter Design Awards ceremony. Presidential Citations will be awarded in universal design and and sustainable design.

The ceremony and reception, which will take place on Dec. 16 at the District Architecture Center, is hosted by AIA|DC president Sean Nohelty, AIA, over hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The evening also marks the premiere of The Showstoppers! 2014 Chapter Design Awards exhibition, on view and free to the public in the SIGAL Gallery, from Dec. 12-Jan. 3.
