MechoShade, New York-based manufacturer of window covering products, has announced that its Mecho/5 product with EcoVeil has received a Silver Cradle to Cradle Certification from MBDC, the sustainable product development and consulting firm founded by William McDonough and Michael Braungart. EcoVeil uses thermoplastic olefin-based yarn, which, unlike traditional PVC/polyester cloth, can be recycled into new shade cloth.
