Design for Decades: Interiors

The interior of a building can tell us so much about its use, its owner, its message and its history. From an elegant and traditional apartment in Manhattan to a multi-use gym and cafeteria space at a rural K-12 school, interiors create our everyday experience. This slideshow features various AIA Honor Award for Interior Architecture award winners from 2010 and 2011. The award acknowledges outstanding building interiors created by architects licensed in the United States. The diversity of the projects highlights the ability of architects to adapt to a broad range of clients’ needs.
