For over a decade, the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative has acted as the catalyst for the development, establishment, and long-term stewardship of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway. After a long process involving public workshops hosted by the Regional Plan Association, the Greenway is now a 14-mile stretch of landscaped bicycle and pedestrian paths along the Brooklyn waterfront.

Join this three-hour bike tour of the Greenway, led by Marvel Architects, who designed the new Naval Cemetery Landscape (where the tour starts). The tour will go through Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood and past the Columbia Street Waterfront District, towards Red Hook. Stops will highlight efforts to mitigate coastal flood risk and significant private and public developments; guest speakers will join at key sites along the way.
