This modular furniture kit by Hershey, Penn.-based startup Mojuhler arrives in pieces ready for assembly. However, it is up to the user to decide whether the finished product will be a chair, table, bench, shelving unit, or something else entirely that the parts can make. The company’s system uses three main components: structural segments, angle brackets, and sex bolts. And these components can be put together in any configuration with a hex key or allen wrench.

The structural segments are made of CNC-cut birch plywood and come in 10 sizes: from the smallest at 4 inch square , to the largest at 4 inch by 39 inch. These 3/4-inch-thick planks each have a five-hole pattern (similar to that found on a die) that is uniformly repeated itself depending on the length of the piece. This allows for multiple configurations and creations. The segments are finished in high-pressure laminate for durability and come in eight colors, including frosty white (shown), hollyberry, and brittany blue.

The company is currently raising money on Kickstarter in order to purchase the manufacturing equipment to produce these pieces. In the future, Mojuhler hopes to create optional accessories users can add to the furniture, such as cushions, lights, glass table tops, hooks, and cup holders.
