The Château Series range by the venerable French outfit La Cornue is no ordinary stove. Custom-made in the company’s facility outside Paris, each stove is hand-assembled by a single worker who devotes at least 40 hours to each unit. The made-to-order stoves may come with a customer’s preferred cooking elements, as well as more than 8,000 configurations and standard or custom colors. This icy blue unit with solid walnut drawers sells for $103,150. La Cornue, 800.457.1356; www.lacornueusa.com.
