The laminate technology captures off-angle light more effectively than traditional crystalline solar panels and does not need to be perfectly oriented south to create a lot of electricity. It uses triple-junction amorphous silicon solar cells where the blue, green and red light of the sun is absorbed in different layers of the cell.
