ASHRAE Seeks Papers on Alternative Technologies and Net-Zero Buildings

ASHRAE is now accepting papers focusing on alternative technologies and net-zero buildings for its 2011 annual conference, to be held in Montreal, Quebec from June 25-29,2011. The deadline for paper submission is Sept 17, 2010.

The conference’s alternative technologies track is seeking papers on photovoltaic, geothermal, wind power and variable refrigerant volume systems, and solar, as well as how these systems affect first costs and operating costs of buildings. The net-zero building track seeks papers examining building design, associated costs, existing net-zero-energy buildings, and operational and maintenance issues and costs. Case studies also are being accepted. In addition, an engineering tools track is seeking papers addressing energy modeling and building information modeling tools. Other planned tracks include commissioning, HVAC systems, HVAC fundamentals and applications, professional skills, and refrigeration.
