blue ribbon panels

SIPs have a reputation for being stronger and more energy-efficient than conventional framing. The architects of Carter + Burton are particularly fond of AFM’s R-Control SIPs, which are custom-made for each of the firm’s projects (including the one above). The panels feature an expanded polystyrene insulation sandwiched between sheets of OSB, resulting in a building envelope that’s tighter and stronger than the average house, the company claims.
