Schneider Electric has opened a 100,000-square-foot high-tech electronic testing and learning facility for its recently acquired American Power Conversion business unit in O’Fallon, MO. Many of the electronic and control solutions from several of Schneider’s business units are integrated into the building’s testing lab, classrooms, training rooms, and demonstration and display areas.

Osram Opto Semiconductors also has opened two new facilities. An Asia regional headquarters building has been opened in Hong Kong. Osram Opto Semiconductors Asia initially will house regional sales and marketing activities. In Regensburg, Germany, the company has completed the last section of its new semiconductor plant, on which construction began seven years ago. The Osram Opto Semiconductors plant now totals nearly 600,000 square feet.
