The annual Homage to Venice, an initiative of the City Council of Venice, showcases work inspired by Venice from some of Italy’s most notable companies. For the 2008 Homage to Venice, Murano lighting company Andromeda International has created “Pulse, A Meditation in Light,” a decorative light fixture made in a limited edition of 31 pieces. Designed by Massimo Bernardi, each piece is numbered and marked with Venice’s logo. “Pulse” will be available for purchase starting Jan. 1, 2008.
Homage to Venice is designed to raise funds for the restoration and protection of the city’s artistic and architectural heritage, and to serve as a shop window for products that best represent Venice. For more information, visit www.andromedamurano.it.
