Our homeowners in Oakton asked us to transform their master bathroom into a soothing spa. With the bathroom being rather large and original to the home, we got right to work redesigning the space. We knew we wanted to make the existing fireplace a focal point. By raising it up we were able to accommodate a sleek, symmetrical soaking tub. We made it a true feature by finishing the wall in a natural, stacked stone, complete with a slate ledge. The see-through fireplace opens to the bedroom for additional hours of enjoyment. Opposite the tub is the massive walk-in shower with ceiling mounted rain head shower. The space is a true stunner with the continuation of the stacked stone, slate bench and mosaic niche. The Decora custom cabinets in Maxwell (Gray) Maple with a Shadow Finish give the unique appearance of suede. Numerous base cabinets and over-sized drawers provide this couple with plenty of storage. Square, under-mount sinks, sleek fixtures and bronze sconces complete the look. This master bathroom with heated towel bars, digital shower control, heated marble floor and one-of-a-kind water feature has been transformed into a luxurious spa retreat.
