Decorative lighting manufacturer Generation Brands, located in Skokie, Ill., has hired industry veteran Adrienne Shulman as the company’s new northeast specification sales manager for its Tech Lighting, LBL Lighting, and Ambiance Lighting Systems brands in the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia lighting markets.

“We’re very excited Adrienne is joining our team,” said Steve Hurley, vice president of sales for Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting, to whom Shulman will report. “Her industry background is very impressive, she’s been on the sales and client sides of the business so she’ll better understand our customers’ needs, and she has many strong relationships in the marketplace that will enable her to hit the ground running.”

Shulman has been a constant in the lighting industry for more than a decade. Prior to joining Generation Brands, she served as regional sales manager-northeast region for Eaton’s Lighting Solutions, and before that, as northeast regional specifications sales manager with GE Lighting. Prior to her entry into the manufacturing side of the lighting business, she was an exhibition lighting designer at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

Shulman is known for “…exceeding sales targets and fostering key associations with lighting designers, interior designers, architects, engineers and more.” The press release goes on to say, “In her new role with Generation Brands, she’ll leverage these strengths to support current and new customer specification agencies with product sales, marketing and training programs. She’ll also promote Tech Lighting and LBL Lighting through local industry affiliations such as the Illuminating Engineering Society, Designers Lighting Forum and the International Association of Lighting Designers.”
