Project Description

The proposed Performing Arts Center at Susan Wagner High School in Staten Island, NY addresses an overcrowding issue for over 3,000 students. di Domenico + Partners’ design utilizes additional academic and specialized spaces for the school’s theater and arts program, providing an independently operational black box performance space for rehearsals and specialty productions with the requisite support, practice and storage areas. The building and site design, which are developed with dual usage and access in mind for both the school and the community, are intended to exceed a comparable LEED Silver rating.
