Project Description
Conceptual design for a Youth Hostel. Conventional materials and methods of construction will be employed, using primarilly concrete, steel, glass and wood. Materials will be used in their natural states, reducing maintenance requirements. Convective air flow will cool the building. Rain water will be collected and stored in cisterns. Arrays of solar panels will be mounted on the roofs. Balance of Mass and Void; of Light and Darkness.
