The Android Jones Deep Playa Experience by Android Jones + Vision Agency

Dutch 3D-printing firm MX3D has completed the construction of a fully functional, stainless steel pedestrian bridge using four 3D-printing robots. The 41-foot-long bridge will be installed over the Oudezijds Achterburgwal canal in Amsterdam in 2019. [MX3D]

A 10-year project timeline means that the recently completed Pauli Murray and Benjamin Franklin colleges at Yale, designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, is the firm’s first large-scale project designed using BIM. [ARCHITECT]

Modern Ornamental by New York–based architecture firm Edg uses 3D printing in order to make hollow plastic molds for historic ornamental elements such as columns and trims. Using laser scanning, the firm is able to re-create the shapes of architectural pieces that would have otherwise been created through more time-consuming and expensive methods. [Edg]
