Project Description
Project scope= 236 key hotel, 80 service apartments, 340 parking spaces Design Brief: the design brief given by our client was not too specific, only to provide a “ brand new 5 star luxury hotel over an urban site near a yacht marina in downtown Haikou”. With the strong tradition of Haikou as a sailing center, we conceptualized the building as being a powerful form shaped by the wind and recalling feeding koi, with its architecture developed around nautical references- white sail boats, sculptural forms, and grand open terraces recalling the decks of luxury yachts.
