Project Description

Located at the bottom of Corcovado mountain where the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooks Rio de Janeiro, Parque Lage is one of the city's most architecturally renowned sites. The Mario Vodrel-designed mansion was once the residence of industrialist Enrique Lage, who purchased the land in the 1920s. The property is now a public park as well as home to a visual arts school and a cafe. The mansion will host the British House at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
