Project Description
An outdated kitchen with a dark and small eating area was never remodeled when the rest of the house was updated in the late ’80’s.
The new kitchen reverses the earlier layout of the kitchen/breakfast room by adding an eating area toward the garden. Tall south facing clerestories bring in light and ventilation while preserving neighbor privacy. Tall pantries replace traditional upper cabinets and increase ease of storage and retrieval. White cabinets and the white neolith countertop/splash are punctuated by walnut and marble island.
Deck areas on both sides complete the connection to the outdoors and ease of entertaining.
