Project Description

FROM VISIT WEST JAPAN:

Designed by Tadao Ando, the museum is a testament to Takahashi City’s commitment to promoting art in the region. Japanese impressionism is hallmark of the museum’s collection, featuring the work of Torajiro Kojima. Kojima was a contemporary of the great Yumeji and represents what many consider the belle époque of art internationally.

Located in a beautiful natural environment, the museum could seen as part of an international trend to establish centers of art appreciation outside of urban areas.
