Project Description
Beginning with a Property Master Plan and progressing through site, landscape, and building design for a new residence and dependencies, this project took a former pasture and transformed it into a country home complete with space for dogs, llamas and chickens.
The house, a mix of stone and timber, takes advantage of the sloping site to maximize views of the surrounding mountains and newly constructed pond. The mix of forms and the courtyard formed by the residence and guest house reflect the owner’s desire for multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for entertaining.
A deliberate choice was made to preserve many of the existing mature trees on site, while adding additional native species in the planting and landscape design.
