Scaffolding currently engulfs the 17th century house, owned by the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty. A walkway was erected around the whole building so visitors can experience rooftop works of art otherwise unseen at close quarters.

The Portland chapter of the AIA is accepting entries for Stitch II, a competition challenging students and emerging designers to propose ideas for re-purposing space under a bridge on Interstate 405. Proposals are due June 1.
