Project Description
FROM THE ARCHITECTS:
The Neufeldersee-a small lake about 30 minutes away from Vienna -offers an ideal space for summer recreation between Leithagebirge and High-wall. Located right on the water’s edge, the building is adjacent to the surrounding garden-like structure. The center of the building is the patio, which is enclosed by three sides of the building and only open towards the shore.
The facade is formed as a Japanese ornament with a black belt and Okume boards, which blur with the large, north-side primarily openings. In some places the height of the openings extends to the top of the building itself and dematerializes in this manner.
