Sea Gull Lighting Products Announces Winners of the First Annual Ambiance Design Competition

1 MIN READ

Joining the list of manufacturer-sponsored awards programs, Sea Gull recently announced five winners in the First Annual Ambiance Design Competition. Established by Sea Gull Lighting Products to discover innovative, fashion-driven, and trendsetting applications using its Ambiance lighting systems, the company paid particular attention to those entrants who made light integral to their design.

Sea Gull Lighting was ôespecially awedö by the way in which entrants used task, ambient, and accent lighting to create layered looks and to highlight architectural elements.

First place went to Professional Lighting & Design in Greensboro, North Carolina, for its use of Ambiance rail, pendant, and fluorescent lighting in a luxury kitchen redesign.

Michelle Mangan of Michelle Mangan Designs took second place for her redesign of a showcase luxury home library in Denver, Colorado.

The final three honorable mentions went to Kimball Derrick of the Kitchen Design Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio; John McNicholas of McNicholas Lighting Restoration in Barnegat, New Jersey; and Al Thomas of Seattle Lighting Corp. in Seattle, Washington.
