Round Five of SSL Product Development and a New CALiPER Advisory Committee

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is soliciting applications for the Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Product Development (Round 5) as part of its program to advance general lighting applications using SSL. Product development projects should focus on a specific application with a set price, specific efficacy, and detailed performance factors.See the DOE’s SSL web page for more information.

The DOE also has announced plans to create a new advisory committee for its SSL product testing program, called CALiPER. The committee, with members from utilities and energy-efficiency programs, will provide feedback on the CALiPER program’s planning and growth. It also released information on improvements to the CALiPER webpage,which will include a search function.
