Project Description

NEOPRAXIS is part of the experimentation of geometry, where the first need and commission of the architectural program was to house the largest number of offices in a rectangular area of 220 m2. The study of such a specific type of office was crucial to reach the final solution, which had to do with the search for fully functional spaces, no corner or strange angle should be wasted. Based on a diagram of Voronói that induces a subdivision of the plane, in this case the space to intervene, depending on a set of sites, where each site is associated with one and only one subdivision. Realizing the design approach of a space for offices of 11 psychologists or psychiatrists. The main challenge was to have adequate spaces for the realization of the sessions with patients, with studies of acoustics to prevent the transmission of sound with a good treatment of walls and doors. The architectural program was joined by a meeting room with a co-working and coffee station that would not only serve the first need, but could be a space for work, production and coexistence of the users themselves. This change of perception of the ‘consulting room’ not only differentiates the perception of the work of psychologists and psychotherapists as something isolated and individual, but can also enrich their social relations from the design of inclusive spaces.
