Project Description

The Darby Lane House sits on a quiet residential lane in East Hampton on Long Island. The 3,400 square foot house is sited in the southern-most corner of the 1.4 acre property to maximize the open expanse of the private yard. Placed carefully to coordinate with the mature trees, the house creates a number of discreet outdoor spaces of varying moods and character. The volumes of the house are clad in brick, stucco, or cedar, intersecting in a composition that is both modern and contextual.
