Estonian architecture firm KAMP Arhitektid was asked to transform a Soviet-era factory in Tallinn, Estonia, into a playful office that reflected the youthful character of Lenne, a children’s clothing manufacturer.

A vast hall inside the former factory allowed the architects to create an adult playground that plays with scale and space. The multilevel workspace includes several staircases, doors, and rooms that encourage employees to explore their surroundings. In the center of the hall stands a vast wood divider that dissects the space into various rooms. Meeting rooms are surrounded by glass walls, and cohere them to the rest of the massive space.
We have created a room that makes you feel as if you are in a bright summer forest, regardless of the season outside.
Playful features, such asdoor handles fashioned into the shape of children,and a series of 10-foot-tall desktop lamps, can be found throughout the design. As a final touch, 16-foot-tall trees, made from real trunks and artificial foliage, tower over the central space. Several of the branches in the installation are still growing.
