Today, Lightfair announced that this annual lighting trade show and conference will return to New York City in 2015. It will be held at the newly renovated Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from May 3-7. According to the press release, “
The 2015 location decision resulted from the unanimous vote of LFI partners the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) following exhaustive independent LFI customer research conducted to determine the preferred east-coast venue. LFI, which is staged annually in alternate east-coast and west-coast sites, returns to New York for the first time since 2009, where it posted record-breaking attendance and a sold-out trade show floor.”
While theJavits Center has been undergoing a $465 million renovation and expansion thepast two east-coast cycles (2011 and 2013) of the tradeshow, Lightfair took place in Philadelphia and was held at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
