Task lights can be unwieldy to position at the exact angle and height needed to illuminate space or drawings. Inspired by the Prouvé Potence wall light, German studio 45 Kilo created Hallo Wall, a wall-mounted up or down light fixture. The height of the head is adjusted with an elegantly simple mechanism: a single strap of leather that slides along the fixture’s arm and changes the angle of a tensioned guy line that raises or lowers the head. Depending on the direction of the head, the powdercoated aluminum task light can provide overall or concentrated spot lighting. For more compact spaces, 45 Kilo created Hallo Wall, an adjustable, smaller light fixture that can plug directly into wall outlets. • 45kilo.com
