Slate Appliance Finish from GE

A new finish boasts subtle differences from stainless steel

GE’s new slate appliance finish may be a break from stainless steel but its neutral look embraces the rich texture of stone to mesh with cabinets and white or black appliances. The finish cleans easily and resists fingerprints, the company says, and comes with brushed-metal knobs and pulls. The new finish is available on GE-brand appliances, including two French-door refrigerators, two free-standing gas ranges, two free-standing electrical ranges, two built-in dishwashers, and an over-the-range microwave.
