AIA/HUD Secretary’s Awards

The AIA partnered with HUD to recognize excellence in affordable housing and neighborhood design.

“Good design is a cornerstone of thriving homes and communities of all incomes and backgrounds.” This is the mission statement for the AIA/HUD Secretary’s annual awards program. Now in its 5th year, this program is a joint effort between the Housing and Custom Residential Knowledge Community of the AIA and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition to affordable housing, the competition looks for innovative examples of accessibility and neighborhood design, and accessibility.
