Project Description

This $500 million redevelopment program is envisioned as a mixed-use development including a Waldorf Astoria Hotel, two Waldorf Astoria branded residential towers, renovation of the existing hotel and a 4-acre elevated park anchoring the development to the waterfront. Multiple towers with ocean views are set on intensely landscaped podiums, lined with business units at ground level, creating a new urban street fabric. A commanding open space park addressing residential neighborhoods across the Intercoastal Waterway serves the heavy space demands of the annual boat show. The design emphasizes a pedestrian friendly experience with a series of intimate plazas, marina promenades and amenity areas.

EDSA participated in the initial planning studies and reconstruction of the world renowned marina with related land-side features. In addition, EDSA provided conceptual design and landscape architectural services for the upland development of the site.
