Architect Jeanne Gang, FAIA, and her Chicago- and New York–based firm have been selected to design the Center for the Arts & Innovation at Atlanta’s Spelman College. The new center will bring together multiple arts programs—including visual arts, art history, dance, theater, and music—as well as the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and an Innovation Lab. “We look forward to building on the rich history of Spelman College to design a facility that will expand opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and learning,” Gang said in a press release. “Working in close collaboration with the community, we hope to design a welcoming new front porch for the campus, oriented to the neighborhood.”
