Grammy Winner to Open Greenbuild

1 MIN READ

Environmental advocate and nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow will help open the U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild 2009 International Conference and Expo, to be held Nov. 11-13 in Phoenix. This year’s event will open at Chase Field, home to Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks, and will feature presentations and a keynote address, in addition to Crow’s performance. “Beyond her music, Sheryl Crow’s informed and effective advocacy made her the natural choice to help us open Greenbuild in a new and powerful way,” says Rick Fedrizzi, USGBC president, chief executive officer, and founding chair. “More than 25,000 people gather every year at Greenbuild because we know that the building industry can play a major role in reducing carbon emissions and increasing energy independence and economic growth.” For more information, visit www.usgbc.org.
